If there’s one thing we can all agree on it is that the HR blogosphere is rich with amazing thought leadership. From practitioners to consultants, analysts to journalists; it seems like everyone has a new and insightful take on human capital, learning, leadership, talent and professional development.
We know that your schedule is hectic, and you may not have time to catch up on all of the latest blogs and articles, so we created the #HRBuzz. To help you stay up-to-date, at the end of each month we’ll share our favorite posts from around the web.
Here are just a few of the many well-written posts that stood out this month:
Big changes in HR certification – Have you heard that SHRM is launching their own certification and will no longer recognize the SPHR or PHR? A lot of discussion about the change is taking place in the HR blogging community but one of our favorites is from Ben Eubanks at Upstart HR. As a SHRM volunteer he has insider insight into the issue. Ben also recently joined Brandon Hall Group as an analyst – congrats to him on that big move!
Always audit ready – Speaking of Brandon Hall Group, their VP of HR Practice, Trish McFarlane, posted an article this month titled 4 Action Steps to Help HR Leaders Navigate Compliance. We all know the repercussions from non-compliance are significant and these four actions are a great starting point to improving compliance and managing risk.
Does working remotely mean working 24/7? Over on TalentCulture, a discussion was posted on Working Remotely: Is Staying Connected 24/7 A Good Thing? In the post Annette Richmond, executive editor of Career-Intelligence.com, discussed technology and employee engagement and the balance, or lack-there-of, that is affecting our culture.
For the football fans – Susan LaMotte, founder of Exaquo, wrote about how different business would be if we approached corporate talent selection like the NFL draft. Our own Alison also took on the draft in her post about succession planning and what organizations can learn from the NFL.
Mobile learning is now – Our guest blogger Sarah White, founder of Accelir, previewed her webinar on mobile learning with a blog post Mobile Learning & the Future Generation: Its Closer Than You Think. Take a peek at the post and watch the recorded webinar for free!
Have a great weekend everyone!
