Course Description and Key Learning Objectives

SumTotal Compensation Management simplifies and standardizes the planning, modeling, budgeting, analysis, and execution of global compensation and reward policies. This course on Compensation Administration focuses on the main features that Compensation Managers and HR Administrators will use to manage the compensation process. You will see how to navigate the system as an administrator, and how to perform the tasks that will allow your Company’s employees to effectively utilize the system. The course provides hands-on training to reinforce each topic.

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Navigate the Compensation Dashboard
  • Initialize the compensation process and assign access rights depending on role.
  • Enter information for a specific employee
  • Access and utilize compensation worksheets
  • Run Compensation Rollup reports
  • Provide final approval of compensation plans
  • Export all planning data to payroll

  • Access to the SumTotal Talent Composition Management module.
  • Basic Internet skills and intermediate computer skills (mouse, keyboard, and so on).
  • Familiarity with your organization’s compensation procedures and strategy.
  • Completion of the Compensation Management Orientation
