Interactivity and Media

Level 1
This level is ideal for the recall of simple fact-based information. Its interface is similar to basic Windows functions such as “click to display” and “click to reveal.” Approximately 20% of course will feature interactive screens which the learner experiences in the form of: pop-ups, rollovers, simple animations, multiple choice exercises and true/false quizzes. This level uses simple and effective media content to activate the learner’s senses through client-provided images, company colors, fonts, and sound effects. Stock images and graphics are used sparely.
Level 2
Level 2 Learning is nuanced, promoting a deeper, more critical understanding of content beyond a “passive awareness”. Of the 25-30% interactive screens used in this level, the interactive techniques commonly employed are click and display, conceptual interactivities (Flip cards, Pyramids, Hub and Spokes) drag and drop, fill in the blank, matching, multiple choice, click to reveal, reflection exercises, simple HTML animations, static illustrations and exercises. Media features include customized images, simple 2-D illustrations, synched audio and professional narration, as well as charts, icons, and graphs.
Level 3
To deepen the learner’s engagement and retention of the content, Level 3 Interactivity options make up approximately 35-45% of the course’s screens with 2-level branching scenarios, illustrated examples, complex and conceptual drag & drop, simple HTML animations, simple simulations and exercises. This level utilizes sophisticated media content, such as 3-D graphics, streaming videos, synchronized audio, multiple voiceover artists, customized animations, photos, graphics and charts to immerse the learner in content which requires critical thinking and complex problem solving. |
