The Customer Productivity Center (CPC) offers customers with an active support contract access to a single, online source of information to enhance your knowledge of SumTotal products. This site, which uses the SumTotal Suite as its engine, provides access to training details, rollout tools, online learning, white papers, technical summary documents, feature enhancements and much more.
What Kind of Information is Available on the CPC?
When you visit the CPC site, you will find additional information you need to maximize your experience with SumTotal. The resources found on the site go beyond the "how do I" questions, offering:
- A Starter Guide for administrators and authors who are new to the Suite. Orientation materials in the Guide will help you develop your baseline knowledge of the Suite
- Conceptual information that provides the context within which you are making configuration and authoring decisions
- Innovative uses of SumTotal
- Feature-based documentation that provides scenarios for use, frequently asked questions, as well as technical information
- User documents that administrators can modify freely, then distribute to end-users users to help them learn how to use – and benefit from – its feature
- Training and services information
Who Uses the CPC?
The greatest learning needs are for core Suite administrators configure and use SumTotal, content authors and content managers. Given their roles within their individual companies, these audiences have the most consistent access the Internet outside a firewall. Remember: although this is a small population of your total user base, these “super-users” can download and share most items across your enterprise.
How Should My Company Select Who Can Access the CPC?
Access to the CPC is limited to 20 users from your company. You should think carefully about which individuals you register. Below is a suggested distribution based on a company purchasing the SumTotal Suite:
- 1 - Key executive
- 5 - Administrators configuring Aspen
- 1 - MIS resource
- 10 - Authors and content managers
- 3 - Human resources or training managers
