Strong customer acquisition and existing customer growth coupled with investments in key product enhancements round out the quarter

Mountain View, Calif., August 5, 2010 - SumTotal® Systems, Inc., a market leader and a global provider of  talent development solutions, today announced the company achieved extremely strong results in the second quarter of 2010 with growth among both new and existing customers.  SumTotal exceeded all revenue and growth targets and continues to strongly invest in its products including the latest version of the company’s learning and performance management offerings, and the award winning ToolBook® solution. With more than 1,600 customers worldwide, SumTotal continues to expand its reach across several industries including Retail, Healthcare, Financial Services and Manufacturing.

During the second quarter of 2010, SumTotal signed new North American customers including: ARAMARK Corp., Dow Jones & Company, Deloitte Consulting LLP, Health Care Services Corp., and Zachry Brands; EMEA customers including: AIRBUS SAS, Capgemini, and Stranix Co; and APAC Region customers including AmBank, IntoOne, Inc., and Treasury Group Ltd.

The company also extended relationships with current customers including American Management Association, Avanade Inc., Harley-Davidson, Inc., Newmont USA Limited, Poudre Valley Health System and Wendy’s.

In addition to extending relationships with new and existing customers, SumTotal announced a partnership with Akamai Technologies to enhance the SumTotal ResultsOnDemand® offering and allow for significant performance improvement through greater Web acceleration solutions. SumTotal also announced “Pathlore Unlimited” and “Docent Unlimited” programs to ensure that customer’s investments are protected and they continue to get tremendous value from these solutions. SumTotal’s ToolBook product was also recognized by Brandon Hall Research with two silver awards for Best Advance in Technology for Rich-Media Authoring and Best Advance in Technology for Mobile-Learning Authoring.
