SumTotal Enterprise Suite 7.2 First Learning Management Solution in Google Enterprise Professional Program

Mountain View, Calif. – May 9, 2006 – SumTotal™ Systems (NASDAQ: SUMT), the largest provider of talent, learning and business performance technologies and services, announced it has joined the Google Enterprise Professional program.

As a partner in the program, SumTotal is integrating the Google Search Appliance within its learning management enterprise suite. By launching a Google search from the SumTotal Enterprise Suite 7.2, SumTotal’s government and commercial customers will have an easy and accessible hub for tapping into: 1) classroom and online instruction, activities and materials, 2) informal learning such as presentations, case studies and spreadsheets and 3) assessments of employee performance. SumTotal’s clients will be able to rely on Google’s search to find information sitting in legacy, mainframe and relational databases. Employees can quickly recover information wherever it’s stored across the enterprise and deliver that data where it’s needed most.

“Formal training and learning content is only a part of the information people need to gain the insight and knowledge required for their jobs,” said Jon Ciampi, vice president of marketing for SumTotal. “As a result of SumTotal’s partnership with Google, our customers now have a single point of access to their respective companies’ knowledge bases. The joint solution will allow customers to quickly extract the data they need to develop and buttress online courses, new-hire training, education around product launches, or any formal learning and development efforts.”

The Google Enterprise Professional program includes developers, consultants and independent software vendors that provide value-added services for Google enterprise products.

“Google is excited to have SumTotal as a partner in the Google Enterprise Professional program. We’re looking forward to bringing the power of Google search to users of talent, learning and business performance software,” said Kevin Smith, program manager for Google Enterprise Professional.
