Comparative context delivers better data
With our drag and drop interface, users can rate multiple people at one time. This is not only efficient; it also captures levels of employee performance often missed by other assessments. And statistical studies show that accuracy improves when performance levels are rated in a comparative context. "Bill rates 3 on meeting deadlines" begs the question, "compared to what?" "Bill meets deadlines better than Jane" is both an easier judgment to make and provides more information.
On the other hand, rating an individual against multiple competencies enables the rater to compare relative strengths. For example, Joe’s leadership and communication skills may both be above average, and his decision-making not far behind. By providing a comparative context, the drag and drop scale allows the user to see a clear picture of all ratings, rather than requiring the rater to go back through ticked boxes to make sure ratings are correct in relation to each other.
