Rishi Rana is the general manager for India and APAC for SumTotal Systems. In this critical role, he oversees operations of the SumTotal India office and manages the services business across the APAC region, which includes Australia and Japan. Rana brings more than 17 years of extensive experience in building and managing large cross-functional global teams. He also has a proven track record in developing complex, performance-critical software solutions and products across various domains.

For several years prior to this position, Rana served as the vice president of Services for SumTotal. He has demonstrated excellence in evaluating and working with other companies to generate strategic partnerships, as well as in masterminding the end-to-end development of a number of world-class products.

Before his tenure with SumTotal, Rana relocated from the United States to become the co-founder of Microsoft’s Global Services arm in India. Preceding that venture, Rana held several leadership and executive positions with other software powerhouses, including Adobe and Micrografx.

Rana is the recipient of several awards in management excellence, communication, and mentoring. In addition, he is an avid speaker at top IT industry conferences worldwide. He holds a BS in Computer Science & Math and an MBA, both from Texas A&M University, USA.
