Mark Johnson is Chief Financial Officer of SumTotal Systems and oversees the functions of worldwide accounting and finance, legal, human resources, and the information technology group which runs the critical business processes globally for SumTotal.

Johnson brings a wealth of financial and operations experience from some the world’s leading technology companies across the software, services and hardware sectors.  Before joining SumTotal, Johnson was Vice President & Business Unit CFO at BMC Software, the recognized leader in Business Service Management solutions.  As the principal finance executive for the unit, he was responsible for all financial aspects of an $800 million business and helping it achieve its short-and long-term operating objectives.  Prior to BMC, Johnson held a variety of financial management positions with the Tivoli Software division of IBM Corporation, Dell Inc., and Sterling Commerce, Inc.

Johnson earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, and his Master of Business Administration from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
