General Summary
The India Operations & Finance team is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the India center and plays a major role in offering facilities to employees. This involves managing the many services that include secretarial and front office, administration, payroll, conference planning, travel, information and data processing, mail, materials scheduling and distribution, printing, records management, telecommunications management, security, parking and procurement. The team is also involved in visa processing to various countries.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing Purchases
- Analyzing financials
- Negotiation with vendors
- Co-ordination with Finance (The external accounting firm and the company Finance Manager)
- Preparation, calculation and maintenance of various budgets
- Statutory Compliances (Income Tax, FBT etc.,)
- Liaison with STPI, Excise & customs etc and ensure adherence to regulations.
- Ensuring proper deduction of TDS on payments made to parties, scrutiny of TDS ledger, timely deposit of TDS to Govt. Account, issue of TDS certificates to parties, filing of TDS Return within the stipulated time limit
- Participate in discussions of audit findings and recommendations with operational managers and other officers as appropriate with a view to obtaining their implementation within a timescale which is sufficiently realistic to be effective
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft office. (MS Word & MS Excel)
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
